Elevate Your Expertise
Our cooperative education program (“co-op,” for short) is designed to enrich your Align experience. With four, six, or eight months of real-world experience at one of our industry partners, you will enhance your classroom studies, expand your high-tech expertise, and propel your new career.
The Co-op Difference
If you’re looking to combine your background with computer science and start a new career in tech, the opportunity to learn new skills on the job while making valuable connections is critical. Co-op helps alleviate the fear factor of switching industries while providing powerful inroads to a wide range of companies.
Below is a sampling of companies that have employed Align students during their program of study.
- Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence
- Charles River Data
- Goldman Sachs
- Grantham, Mayo & Otterloo
- Morgan Stanley
- MIT Lincoln Labs
- Power Advocate
- The Broad Institute
- Trip Advisor
It pays to do co-op
Our co-op partners value the range of thought, perspective, and experience that Align students bring to their organization.
Typically, Align students earn $30,000 or more while on co-op to help offset tuition. Students generally go on co-op after their second semester of master’s classes, close to degree completion. This timing enables you to build your résumé and increase your job prospects. In fact, many co-op companies offer permanent employment to their co-op students.
In addition, many companies reflect their values on diversity by providing scholarships as a Corporate Partner.
